Physiotherapy in brief

Therapy Max Physiotherapy involves the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injury by a qualified, professional physiotherapist.

Most soft tissue and joint injuries of the limbs, back and neck can be treated by our physiotherapists, with excellent success.

Physiotherapist targets those areas where your musculoskeletal areas are not working smoothly by improving pain, mobility, strength and fitness. Physiotherapy treatment is geared to assisting your return to normal daily activities, work and sport.

Therapy Max physiotherapists provide personalised and professional expertise, to help you recover more effectively and faster!

Standard appointments are 30 minutes and initial appointments are usually an hour, so as to provide you with the best possible outcomes.

Our Physiotherapists provide:

Evidence-based treatment approaches - proven by research.
• Mainstream Musculoskeletal Assessment to diagnose the injury. This is essential if the fastest road to recovery is to be identified.
• Manual Therapy - This is the technical hands-on skills that include manipulation of muscles and joints and mobilisation of neural structures.
• Hydrotherapy - which is water based exercise and the therapist can use this exclusively or in combination with other modalities to assist your recovery. See Hydrotherapy page.
• Gym-based rehabilitation and exercise prescription to assist the return of strength in an environment that is motivating and functionally specific to your goals. See Gym Rehabilitation page.
• A holistic approach. Where it would be beneficial, the physiotherapist will recommend other therapies that will complement the rehabilitation of your injury. In these circumstances the therapists work closely in gaining a faster, more complete recovery for you.
• Education & Advice is part of effective injury management. This will give you a better understanding of how and why your injury has occurred; provide suitable exercise classes, ergonomic changes and other self help strategies.
• Longer treatment sessions.
